The picture on the left is me right before I got sober. 19 years old, full-blown, late-stage alcoholic without direction, a solution or a purpose. The picture on the right is me with God, the steps and the program of Alcoholics Anonymous. I am the first to admit that I am horrible at following directions. It wasn’t until I tried everything in AA except the steps that I finally became free. I fall short, daily, I inventory, make amends, mess up and want to run away at times, but I am dedicated to the work and to this path, because my sobriety is not my own.
I am the mother of three wild boys, a writer, a wife, a daughter, a sponsor, a friend and a perfect child of God. I created this podcast, because I have been taking people through the Big Book since I was a year sober and it is one of the gifts I was given. I decided to record myself taking the listener through so sponsees in other states could study the Book with me and from that grew something bigger than me.
